NEWTON — Newton-Conover High’s Brann Reid, who finished unbeaten in singles during his tennis career and won three state 2A titles, has signed to play tennis at UNC Asheville.
Reid’s decision was announced by the Newton-Conover athletic department.
He had records of 38-0 in the regular season and 12-0 in conference, regional and state competition, going 74-0 in singles.
In doubles, he went 27-3 and finished with an overall record of 101-3.
