THANK YOU… HobbsDailyReport was 1 month old on Thursday

HOBBS

HobbsDailyReport.com

Just a quick post to say “thank you” to all of you who have visited the site, which has officially been online for one month yesterday (Thursday, May 11).

Won’t bore you with numbers, but the report has provided nearly 450 separate posts in 30 days on everything local — from a decision by Bandys High head football coach Trent Lowman to make wearing his dad’s old uniform number (No. 44) an honor to a lot of news out of Lenoir-Rhyne University to nightly updates and roundups on a wide range of high school sports in the region.

We’ve got about 10 or so weeks to get ready for first high school and then Lenoir-Rhyne University football… and there’s tons of leg work to be done as advertisers come on board.

Big shout out to the first local business to step up and believe in HobbsDailyReport.com — Dwayne Wilson Insurance and Financial Services, with offices in Maiden and elsewhere in the region — and there’s more interest being shown as prep football season begins.

We plan/hope to have individual school pages for all 23 schools in the South Fork 2A, Northwestern Foothils 2A and Northwestern 3A-4A as August approaches and football coverage done the Hobbs way (season 43 for me coming up).

Please keep visiting the site daily, and I’ll post updates periodically as we zero in on the set up of the website, which will be the most extensive around in terms of following sports in the region. If the support is there, long-range plans are to add staffing (as available) because prep football coverage is that important and that challenging.

Until then, a one-man staff will stay on top of things.

Best regards,

Chris Hobbs
