HICKORY — Lenoir-Rhyne University opens its men’s basketball season on Friday, facing Emmanuel (Ga.) in Charlotte with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
The Bears will also play in Charlotte on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., facing Young Harris.
LRU’s first South Atlantic Conference (SAC) game is Nov. 17 at home against Wingate (7:30 p.m.).
Everick Sullivan begins his sixth season as Bears’ head coached. They were 9-7 overall last season and 8-6 in the SAC.
LRU has had two winning seasons and a .500 season under Sullivan, and the Bears are 65-65 since he became head coach.
