ROCK HILL, S.C. – Cory Thomas, a senior guard for Lenoir-Rhyne University, on Monday won the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Player of the Week for games played Nov. 5-11.
Conference officials announced Thomas, from Louisville, Ky., gained the award for averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals per game as the Bears opened the season with two wins.
LRU’s next game is at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Southern Wesleyan (0-2).
