Conference co-champions Watauga and Hickory had the top player and coach, respectively, in boys’ high school soccer this year in the Northwestern 3A-4A.
The All-Northwestern 3A-4A team — selected in voting by the league’s head coaches — is led by Watauga’s Jair Alvarez as Player of the Year and Hickory’s Brian Jillings as Coach of the Year.
The league’s Offensive Player of the Year is Fracesco Gonzalez, who led West Caldwell to a third-place finish, and the Defensive Player of the Year is Nicholas Pilato, who paced South Caldwell to a fourth-place finish.
Watauga had nine all-conference players and Hickory had eight.
Watauga and Hickory each finished 12-2 in the conference, West Caldwell went 10-4 and South Caldwell was 9-5.
