HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TENNIS: Watauga’s Turner named Player of the Year in Northwestern 3A-4A

Watauga High’s Magali Turner has been selected as the Northwestern 3A-4A’s Player of the Year in girls’ tennis.

Turner helped the Pioneers go 4-2 in the conference and finish in third place behind Hickory (7-0) and South Caldwell (6-1).

Hickory’s Jackie Finley was named Coach of the Year.

Hickory led the All-Northwestern 3A-4A picks with four selections – Amy Herfurth, Dawson Cliford, Anna Thorne and Mason Paracline.
