SHELBY – Shelby High scored in double digits for the second straight night on Tuesday against visiting East Burke, winning 10-0 over the Cavs in a South Mountain Athletic 2A baseball game.
The Golden Lions (8-7, 5-7) reached 10 or more runs for the third time this year, winning 11-7 at home over Cramer on Monday night in a non-league game. They beat Chase 13-3 earlier in the season in a league game.
East Burke (2-12, 1-9) remains a half-game in front of last-place Chase with the loss and was shut out for the third time in its last four games.
Burns visits East Burke for a makeup game on Wednesday at 4 and the Cavs are at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. against rival Draughn.
Shelby will play at East Rutherford on Thursday at 7 p.m. in a conference game.
