HICKORY – Hickory Post 48 will field a girls’ Legion softball team this season and has scheduled tryouts for Saturday and again on April 7.
The tryouts will be held at St. Stephens High from 10 a.m. to noon on each of the tryout dates with rainout dates, if needed, scheduled for April 3 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and April 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The team is open to female players who are rising high school freshman through those who do not turn 20 before Aug. 1, 2018.
Games will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays and there will be no weekend games.
