MARION – Lees-McRae College’s recruiting class of eight in men’s basketball includes guard Kevin Silver from McDowell High.
Silver averaged 17.6 points per game and shot 40 percent on 3-point attempts last season, when he was All-Northwestern 3A-4A and a Western North Carolina Blue-White All-Star.
McDowell went 21-7 last season and was third in the Northwestern 3A-4A at 11-3, finishing behind Hickory and Freedom.
The Bobcats also signed three other products from North Carolina – guard Taleik Pratt from Voyager Academy, guard Oshaun Robinson of Salisbury High and guard Isaiah Pruett of A.C. Reynolds.
Among the returnees expected back next season at Lees-McRae is Jordan Turner, a 6-foot-3 senior guard from Fred T. Foard High.
