LAKELAND, Fla. – Defending NCAA Division II champion Florida Southern had 11 first-half goals on Friday en route to beating visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University 15-5 in women’s lacrosse.
Dani Bursinger’s three goals led Florida Southern (16-2), ranked No. 4 in the nation, and Meghan O’Brien, Emily Santoli and Riley Bannatyne each added two.
For the Bears (9-5), who trailed 11-1 at the half, Gabby Sousa had three goals.
Florida Southern’s victory was its 13th straight.
LRU next plays on Sunday at 3 p.m. against Rollins in Winter Park, Fla.
