ICARD — East Burke High moved into a tie for third place with Draughn after winning two South Mountain Athletic 2A-3A softball games on Wednesday, 11-6 over Burns and then 11-10 over Kings Mountain.
The victories left the Cavs 10-6 in the conference and they closed their 16-game league schedule.
Burns dropped to 3-12 and will finish in eight place, and Kings Mountain finished 9-7 in the league and in fifth place.
The SMAC 2A-3A does not play a conference tournament.
