KINGS MOUNTAIN – Crest High reached a season-high for runs scored on Thursday night in a 14-1, six-inning victory on the road over Kings Mountain in a South Mountain Athletic 2A-3A baseball game.
The Chargers (8-6, 8-4) topped their previous best run production of 13 against Burns en route to their second straight victory.
Kings Mountain dropped to 7-9 overall after losing back-to-back games, and the Mountaineers are 7-6 in the conference.
Crest’s schedule indicates it will play next week in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Easter Tournament that begins Monday at Shelby High.
The Chargers were in third place in the SMAC 2A-3A heading into Thursday’s game and held onto that spot by winning.
