VALE – Bunker Hill High’s girls nipped West Lincoln 2-1 in two overtimes on Thursday night on the road, closing the Southern District 7 Athletic 2A scheduled for both teams.
The Bears finished 3-9-2 in the conference and West Lincoln finished 2-12-0 and in last place.
Newton-Conover (12-1-1) won the league title, followed by Lincolnton (10-1-3) and East Lincoln (10-2-2), who played to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday.
