BOONE – Hickory High ran its win streak to six games, picking up head coach David Craft’s 448th career victory with a 2-1 win over Watauga on Friday night in Northwestern 3A-4A baseball.
The win gives Hickory a chance to tie South Caldwell for second place if Watauga were to beat the Spartans on Saturday in a 3 p.m. game in Hudson. if South Caldwell wins, the Red Tornadoes finish in third place.
