LINCOLNTON – North Lincoln High matched its season-high for runs on Tuesday en route to a home 13-6 victory over Statesville in North Piedmont 3A-4A baseball.
The Knights (8-5, 5-5), who had scored only two runs in their previous two games, rolled past the Greyhounds (1-14, 1-10) for the second time this season.
North Lincoln won 13-3 earlier in the season at Statesville.
The Knights are in fourth place – 2 ½ games behind South Iredell, Alexander Central and Mooresville, who share second place – as they prep to play at South Iredell on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Statesville, in seventh place, is at home Thursday at 7 p.m. to face last-place West Iredell.
