CLAREMONT — The top two seeds play Friday for the Bunker Hill Junior Varsity Easter baseball tournament championship.
No. 2 Fred T. Foard faces No. 1 Alexander Central at 5:30 p.m. for the title at Bunker Hill High, where admission is $6.
The Tigers shutout No. 3 Bunker Hill on Wednesday and the Cougars gained a berth in the final after they beat fifth-seeded St. Stephens 16-6.
Tournament play on Friday begins with a fifth-place game at 12:30 p.m., No. 4 Newton-Conover versus No. 6 Hickory. At 3 p.m., No. 5 St. Stephens battles No. 3 Bunker Hill third place.
