New York team mashes Mustangs in Ripken Experience

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – East Lincoln High lost its second game in the Ripken Experience on Wednesday.

Liverpool (N.Y.) dealt the Mustangs a 9-2 loss, leaving them 1-2 so far on their trip to the beach.

East Lincoln beat Holley (N.Y.) 16-2 on Monday and St. Vincent-St. Mary (Ohio) downed the Mustangs 5-1 on Tuesday.

Today at noon, East Lincoln faces Independence of Columbus, Ohio.

When they come home, the Mustangs need one win to wrap up an outright championship in the Southern District 7 Athletic 2A. They are 10-2 in the conference, up on West Caldwell by two games with two to go, and play Maiden at East Lincoln at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
