ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Eric Dickinson and Ryan Crompton swept the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) weekly awards for men’s lacrosse.

The conference announced Dickinson as the Offensive Player of the Week and Crompton as the Defensive Player of the Week after they led the Bears to a 17-13 road victory last Saturday over Limestone.
Limestone came into the match as the No. 1 team in the NCAA Division II rankings, and the Saints are defending national champions.
Dickinson, a sophomore midfielder from Charlotte, finished with nine points – five goals and four assists – in the victory over Limestone. He was a first-team all-league honoree last spring and was named the 2017 SAC Freshman of the Year after leading the league with a school-record 50 goals to go along with a team-tying 67 points.
Dickinson leads LRU in goals scored (seven) and total points (12).
Crompton, a senior goalkeeper from Frederick, Md., won top defensive player honors for the second time this season and eighth time in his college career. A preseason all-league first-team selection, he had 13 saves against Limestone.
Crompton ranks second all-time in school history in saves (317) and goals-against average (9.64) and is starting for the third straight season.
The Bears (2-0), now ranked No. 3 in the nation, are at home on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match in Moretz Stadium against ninth-ranked Seton Hill.
