ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University junior Djibril Diallo is on the honorable mention list for All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) men’s basketball, released Thursday by conference officials.
The Bears did not have a player make the first- or second-team selections by league head coaches.
Diallo, a junior from Conakry, Guinea, averaged 15.1 points this season and finished with 111 assists and 42 steals. His scoring average in league games was 16.5 and he started all 27 games for the Bears this season.
LRU finished 11-16 overall and 9-11 in the SAC, tying for fifth place in the conference standings.
Second-seeded Queens, ranked No. 5 in NCAA Division II, eliminated LRU with a 73-61 victory on Wednesday in Charlotte in the first round of the conference tournament.
