ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University guard Djibril Diallo has been named the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Player of the Week in men’s basketball for Nov. 19-25.

Conference officials announced his selection on Monday.
Diallo, a senior from Conakry, Guinea, led the Bears to two wins during the week as they extended their win streak to seven games.
LRU beat Newberry, S.C., and Limestone, with Diallo scoring 20 points, grabbing four rebounds and shooting 64.3 percent in an 88-82 win over Newberry.
Diallo had 16 points and three rebounds and hit the game-winning shot against Limestone in a 76-75 win by the Bears.
He averaged 18 points and 3 ½ rebounds for the week, shot 55.6 percent from the field and hit 38.5 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Diallo won the league award for the first time and joined Cory Thomas as LRU players who have won it this season.
LRU (7-0) next plays on Wednesday at home (8 p.m.) in a conference game against Queens.
