WOMEN’S COLLEGE GOLF: Lenoir-Rhyne leads, O’Connor shares top spot after 2 rounds

WALLACE – Ainee O’Connor shares the individual lead, and Lenoir-Rhyne University’s women also lead after the first two rounds Monday of the Sunoco Campbell Oil Classic at the River Landing Golf Club.

LRIU shot a 45-over par 621 on a par-72, 5,812-yard course and leads by four strokes over Carson-Newman and UNC Pembroke after 36 holes of play.

O’Connor — a sophomore from Kent, United Kingdom who last week won at the Wingate Intercollegiate Challenge — is tied for first place with UNC Pembroke’s Madison Corley at 7-over par 151.

The third and final round is Tuesday.
