MEN’S COLLEGE GOLF: Bears freshman Walker in third place at Bearcat Classic

GREENWOOD, S.C. – Dawson Walker, a freshman from Lenoir, is in third place and has helped Lenoir-Rhyne University’s men hold third place after the opening round Monday of The Bearcat Classic at the Greenwood Country Club.

Walker is at 4-under 140 after 36 holes of play with the third and final round scheduled Tuesday.

LRU shot a 1-over par 577 and trails only Young Harris and Lincoln Memorial in the team standings.

Belmont Abbey’s Levi Kettlehut is at 6-under 138 and leads on a par-72, 6,800-yard course.
