WOMEN’S COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: Lenoir-Rhyne fifth in Asheville Invitational

SWANNANOA – The Lenoir-Rhyne University women finished fifth in the Asheville Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.

Led by Audra Yarber’s 17th-place finish in 12 minutes, 18 seconds on a two-mile course at Asheville Christian Academy, the Bears were behind Wofford, Western Carolina, Milligan and UNC Asheville.

Wofford’s Hannah Steelman won the race in 10:51.

The Bears compete Friday at 4 p.m. in Queens University’s Royals Challenge.
