MEN’S COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: Black, Lenoir-Rhyne take third in Asheville

SWANNANOA – Jacob Black finished third among 100 runners on Saturday as Lenoir-Rhyne University’s men finished third in the Asheville Invitational.

Black ran a time of 20 minutes, 37 seconds on a 6,400-meter course at Asheville Christian Academy and LRU freshman Brett Voglesang (21:32) finished 25th.

Luke Greer of Carson-Newman won the individual title (20:15) and UNC Asheville won the team competition.

The Bear will complete in Queens University’s Royals Challenge on Friday at 4 p.m.
