SALISBURY – Lenoir-Rhyne University tied for second on Tuesday in the Richard Rendleman Men’s Golf Invitational after Jordan Vogler won the individual title for the Bears and teammate Brad Robinson tied for second.
Vogler closed at 4-under par 138 in the two-day tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury while Robinson finished at 1-under par 141.
Wingate won the team title at 7-over par 575, finishing nine stroke ahead of LRU and Catawba on a par-71, 6,690-yard course.
LRU’s next event is Monday and Tuesday at the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate at the Monroe Country Club.
