GREENSBORO – Two of the five wrestlers from the Northwestern 3A-4A who qualified for the state 4A individual wrestling tournament won their openers on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Kaleb Queen of South Caldwell won at 113 pounds, downing Josh Shore of Davie County, 4-3.
McDowell’s unbeaten 126-pounder, Toney McGee, opened with a 39-second pin of Elijah Phillips of South Central.
