Fred T. Foard High won its second straight state 2A volleyball championship on Saturday morning, defeating McMichael 25-14, 25-11, 25-12 at Green Level High in Cary. The Tigers (19-0) lost only one set all season, repeating also as Northwestern Foothills 2A champions under head coach Meredith Lombardi, and Foard is 8-for-8, winning a state title every time it has reached the state finals./NCHSAA PHOTO
