SHELBY – Bandys and South Caldwell have learned their opening-round baseball opponents for the Shelby Easter Tournament on April 18-21 at Shelby High.
Bandys faces Kings Mountain on April 19 at 4 p.m., and South Caldwell starts against Crest on Monday at 7 p.m.
If the Trojans and Spartans win, they’ll play a semifinal on April 20 at 7 p.m.
If Bandys falls to Kings Mountain it would face Shelby or Piedmont on Wednesday at 11 a.m. If Crest beats South Caldwell, the Spartans would battle Burns or South Point on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
The eight-team tournament is using two pools with Crest, Shelby, Piedmont and South Caldwell in one of them and Bandys, Burns, Kings Mountain and South Point in the other.
