GREENSBORO — Lake Norman Charter High’s Asha Means, who led the Knights to an unbeaten season and a state 2A title, is headed to play in the East-West All-Star match.
She’s the only player from the Greater Hickory area’s three leagues selected by Hibriten head coach Shea Bridges, the West head coach.
The match is scheduled July 20 at MacPherson Stadium in Greensboro and is part of the week-long East-West Week for high school coaches. It is sponsored by the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA).
The coaching clinics and games (boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer and football) were not held last summer because of COVID-19.
