GREENSBORO — Two of the 16 players on the West roster for July’s East-West All-Star boys’ soccer match are from Hickory High.
West head coach Jay Niessner picked Red Tornadoes defender Ben Boston and teammate Carter Holt, a forward, for his team.
The match is scheduled July 20 at MacPherson Stadium as part of the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA) East-West Week in Greensboro.
Boston (6-foot, 157 pounds) had five goals and three assists while Holt (5-10, 150) had team-highs of 18 goals, 23 assists and 59 points to lead the Red Tornadoes.
Hickory, coached by Brian Jolley, finished 14-2-0 overall and 11-1 and in second place in the Northwestern 3A-4A.
