GREENSBORO – Three players from Greater Hickory area conferences — including two Hibriten teammates — will play for the West in Wednesday night’s annual East-West All-Star high school football game.
West head coach Johnny Sowell of Monroe and his staff selected Hibriten running back Marqwone Jones and teammate Josh Baker, an offensive lineman plus Watauga defensive back Jackson Greene.
The players have reported to Greensboro for practices leading up to Wednesday’s 8 p.m. kickoff at Greensboro Grimsley’s Jamieson Stadium.
The West made eight replacements on its 36-man roster due to no-shows or dropouts and the East made four (see lists below).
The game will be live streamed by HighSchoolOT (free viewing) via the website’s app.
