HICKORY – Augusta (Ga.) closed a South Atlantic League (SAL) baseball series against Hickory with two wins on Sunday before 1,725 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium.
The GreenJackets won 8-5 in the first game, which was originally scheduled on Saturday and rained out, and blanked the Crawdads 1-0 in the second game.
Hickory (29-45, 2-2 second half Northern Division) opens a four-game series at Kannapolis on Monday night at 7 p.m., playing four games there before moving on to play four more at West Virginia.
