Fast Pitch scheduled Tuesday night

The Crawdads are a partner with the City of Hickory and Lenoir-Rhyne University for the Fast Pitch event on Tuesday night, part of Global Entrepreneurship Week festivities at LRU.

The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Cromer Center at LRU.

It’s a competition for community members and students who will make pitches of business ideas. Each participant has between three to five minutes to make their pitch.

After all the pitches are complete, the audience will vote for their favorite business idea. The top five vote-getters will receive $200 as a cash prize.

The goal of the event is to promote creativity and entrepreneurship in the community.
