HICKORY – Tryouts for Catawba Valley Community College’s first women’s softball team are scheduled Saturday at Newton-Conover High from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The tryouts are open to anyone who has completed their junior year of high school and has remaining eligibility.
To try out, bring a copy of a signed sports physical from the past 13 months and dress in a t-shirt, softball pants and cleats.
Athletes should also bring a batting helmet, glove and a bat and water and a snack, as not food or beverages will be provided.
