ABOUT THESE STATS
All totals are unofficial, as compiled from multiple resources that includes game reports directly from some of the conference’s schools… statistics, if kept by a school, are the official record of individual players.
This is the 27th season of individual football stats compiled by Chris Hobbs and the 2021 version include contributions from media partners who provide information that helps Hobbs maintain game-by-game totals on each individual player.
Hobbs began keeping team and league statistics for area schools in 1980 (total offense, turnover ratio… a range of stats usually kept by college and NFL teams) and compiled those for nearly 40 years (again with the help of other regional media). Those stopped only because missing stats from games rose to a level that meant the stats would not be fully accurate.
Hobbs thanks the following media for their cooperation and unwavering support in adding individual stats as a way to provide more exposure for local players: Jason Baker (Valdese Sports Network); Morganton News Herald (Sports Editor Justin Epley/former SE Paul Schenkel; Lenoir News-Topic (former SE John Josey); Lincoln Times News (David Keever); WLON/Sports Talk Guys (Lanny Ford, Keever); WNNC (Josh Edmonson, Dave Lingafelt).
