Season opens May 15 with home game against Lincoln County

NEWTON – Hickory Post 48’s American Legion baseball team will hold registration on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Legion building at the Catawba County Fairgrounds.
Players must bring a parent and a birth certificate to register.
Post 48 has a 24-game season scheduled to begin on May 15 with a 7 p.m. home game against Lincoln County.
Hickory will play its home games at Henkel-Alley Field at the Fairgrounds with admission of $5 for ages 6 and up. Ages 5 and under get in free.
