ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University has one first-team All-South Atlantic Conference selection, catcher Kylee Leonhardt.
The Bears had two players – Savannah Moorefield and Talon LaClair – on the conference’s second-team announced by SAC officials.

Leonhardt, last year’s Freshman of the Year in the SAC, made first-team after hitting .336 with eight home runs, 32 RBIs and a .433 on-base percentage. She is a sophomore who played prep softball at West Lincoln.
Moorefield a sophomore from Patrick Henry (Va.) and an outfielder, scored 51 runs this season, five more than any other SAC players. She stole 13 bases, hit .385 and had an on-base percentage of .464 with six doubles, three triples and seven home runs.
LaClair, a sophomore infielder who played at West Iredell High, hit .419 this season, including a league-best .507 in SAC games. She had nine straight hits at one point and was in the top 10 in five conference offensive categories.
LaClair led the Bears with 44 RBIs and 15 multi-hit games.
LRU went 26-18 in the regular season and 9-10 in the SAC, finishing tied for seventh with Coker.
The Bears open conference tournament play as the No. 8 seed on Saturday, playing top-seeded Lincoln Memorial at 11:30 a.m. at Catawba College in Salisbury.
Aubrey Reep of Wingate was named the league Player of the Year, Allison Rager won Pitcher of the Year, Sierra Hucklebee was selected Freshman of the Year and Ritchie Richardson, head coach at Lincoln Memorial, won Coach of the Year.
