HICKORY – Hickory Post 48 and head coach Cam Beard are prepping for another season of American Legion baseball.
Post 48 has scheduled tryouts for May 16-17 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Beard said, and will have practice sessions at 4 p.m. on May 21, May 22 and May 24 before opening the season on May 25 at home against Cherryville (7 p.m.).
Hickory will again play its home games at Henkel-Alley Field at the Legion Fairgrounds in Newton.
