Zach Jarrett and the Norfolk (Va.) Tides open a Triple-A series at Charlotte on Wednesday night.
Jarrett was not in the lineup over the weekend when Norfolk closed a home series with Jacksonville (Fa.).
He comes to Charlotte hitting .229 with nine home runs and 33 RBIs.
Game times this week are 7:04 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 5:05 p.m. on Saturday and 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.
The Tides are 48-72 in the Triple-A East Southeast Division. They will not make the playoffs and will finish ahead of only Charlotte in the final standings.
After the Charlotte series, the Tides will play five games at home against Durham (starting Sept. 29) to end the season.
Jarrett has been in Triple-A since a promotion from Double-A Bowie (Md.) on May 19.
He has twice been assigned to the Baltimore Orioles during his career (March 2019 and February 2020), after being drafted by the club in 2017 in the 28th round.
