Zach Jarrett had a hit, walked twice and scored two runs on Tuesday night but it wasn’t enough for Norfolk (Va.) to win a Triple-A game at Memphis.

Memphis scored a run in the eighth inning and held onto win 4-3 before a crowd of 3,014.

Jarrett started in centerfield and went 1-for-2, raising his batting average to .260, and he stole his seventh base of the season.

The series continues through Sunday in Memphis.

The Tides are 24-33 and they are tied for fifth place with Charlotte in the Triple-A East Southeast Division, 16 games behind division-leading Durham.

Jarrett was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.
