After going 1-for-3 and scoring a run in the Norfolk (Va.) Tides’ 9-3 victory over Gwinnett (Ga.), Zach Jarrett was out of the lineup for the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday night.

Jarrett was the designated hitter in the first game and batted sixth in the order for Norfolk.

Norfolk won the second game 5-2, and Jarrett did not play in that game.

The series continues Thursday night in Norfolk.

Jarrett is batting .289 with four home runs and 17 RBIs.

He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2017 after starring at Charlotte. The O’s picked him in the 28th round.

Jarrett’s fans will have an opportunity to see him play close to home on June 29-July 4 when the Tides visit Charlotte for a six-game series.
