Zach Jarrett started in left field on Wednesday night and was moved to No. 9 in the batting order of the Bowie (Md.) Baysox in an 8-4 victory at Altoona (Pa.).
Jarrett, a former Hickory High star who starred in college at Charlotte, had two hits and scored a run as the Baysox improved to 2-0 this season.
The Double-A series continues on Thursday night in Altoona.
Jarrett, the son of NASCAR champion driver Dale Jarrett, is in his fourth on-field pro season (there were no minor league games in 2020).
