MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: Jarrett 0-for-4 but Tides trip Knights

Zach Jarrett did not get a hit on Sunday but the Norfolk
(Va.) Tides ended a series in Charlotte with a 2-1 victory.

Again batting third in the order and starting in centerfield, Jarrett went 0-for-4. That lowered his batting average to .272.

A crowd of 10,969 saw the Tides improve to 23-28, and the Knights dropped to 21-31.

Norfolk is off on Monday and starts a six-game series in Norfolk against Durham on Tuesday.

The Tides will visit the Knights again for a six-game series on Aug. 17-22.

Jarrett was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.
