Thank you for deciding to follow local sports in the Greater Hickory area at our website, which will continue to have some free basic content plus the premium level of content you’ve just purchased.
We launched our website on April 1, 2017 and have been going strong ever since. Now, we’re expanding what we do with premium content in these varsity sports – football, girls’ and boys’ basketball, baseball and softball.
While readers will continue to be able to follow the South Fork 2A, Northwestern Foothills 2A and Northwestern 3A-4A – all 23 schools in eight different counties – the more detailed information in the sports we previously mentioned will be a part of our premium service.
Will you still be able to see Friday night’s football scores and some information on games played by teams in those three leagues? Yes.
Will you still be able to see a daily schedule of high school events, standings and roundups in sports like volleyball? Yes, those will remain in the free content area.
But with your premium subscription, you’re going to get more of the statistics from the game, longer stories, more insight from the coaches, videos from some of the games we staff and something you can’t get anywhere else: the extensive knowledge and record-keeping from HobbsDailyReport.com editor and content coordinator Chris Hobbs.
For instance, when you want to see the top 10 win margins all-time in the Bandys-Maiden football series, weekly individual leaders in rushing, passing and receiving or the quarterbacks since 1980 who have thrown for 200 yards in Gurley Stadium… that’s information only Hobbs can provide.
