Hibriten High has swept the top awards in girls’ golf in the Northwestern Foothills 2A while East Burke swept them in girls’ tennis in the conference.
In voting by league coaches, the Panthers’ Gracie Miller was selected the girls’ tennis player of the year and her coach, Larry Taylor, won the league’s coaching award.
The Panthers won a Northwestern Foothills 2A title, finishing just ahead of Patton and East Burke in the conference’s first season.
In girls’ tennis, the Cavs’ Magara Reese was named the conference’s top player after they won a league title by finishing ahead of Fred T. Foard and Patton.
Gilbert Guittard coached the Cavs to that title and was named Coach of the Year.
