Yerry Rodriquez: Third pitcher used by North, threw one inning and gave up one hit, strikes on nine of 11 pitches.

Deal is a left-hander who played at Bandys High and Presbyterian College.

Last appearance: Saturday in Florida State League (FSL) All-Star Game in Jupiter, Fla.

He was the third pitcher for the North, which fell 2-0, and pitched one inning with two strikeouts and he hit one batter.

Deal threw strikes on 11 of his 16 pitches and faced four batters before a crowd of 5,380.

Current stats: 3-4, 1.88 ERA, 12 starts, 67 innings pitched, 16 walks, 57 strikeouts.

ZACH JARRETT

(Class A Advanced Fredrick, Va.)

Jarrett is a former star at Hickory High and at Charlotte who is back with the Keys after playing about a month at Class AA Bowie (Md.).

Tuesday: Started in center field and batted fifth for North All-Stars in the Carolina League All-Star Game at Fredrick, Va.

The North beat the South 8-7 as Jarrett went 0-for-2.

Monday: Idle

Sunday: Idle

Saturday: Started in right field and batted fifth in a 5-4 loss at Salem (Va.). He went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Friday: Started in right field and batted fifth in the first game of two at Salem (Va.), going 0-for-3 in a 1-0 loss; started in right field and batted fourth in Game 2, going 2-for-2 and walking once in a 4-2 loss at Salem.

Thursday: Was not in the lineup at Salem (Va.) in an 8-4 loss.

Current stats: .267, five home runs, 23 RBIs.

Last 10 games: .343, one home run, five RBIs.

HARVEY

HUNTER HARVEY

(Class AA Bowie, Md., Baysox)

Harvey was a first round pick by Baltimore in 2013 after a standout career at Bandys High.

Last appearance: Friday in a new role, pitching in relief, in Bowie’s 3-0 victory at Trenton (N.J.)., and he is currently assigned to the bullpen for the Baysox after all 58 of his previous pro appearances had been as a starting pitcher.

Harvey was the second pitcher used by the Baysox, going three innings. He gave up no hits, no runs, walked one and struck out four.

Current stats: 2-5, 5.77 ERA, 12 appearances with 11 starts, 53 innings pitched, 40 runs (36 earned), six hit batters, 20 walks, 54 strikeouts, allowed 14 home runs.
