HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey is listed as Bowie’s probable starter for a Sunday 1 p.m. game at Trenton, N.J.

He did not pitch on Saturday night when Bowie fell 9-4 at Trenton before a crowd of 6,191, falling to 18-23.

Harvey has a 1-1 record after pitching 21 1/3 innings. He’s allowed 21 hits, 10 runs (all earned), hit two batters, walked seven and struck out 17.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star playing for the Shorebirds (25-14), who lost 7-2 at home on Saturday night to Hagerstown (Md.).

After playing a home doubleheader against the Suns on Sunday, the Shorebirds come to Hickory to begin a four-game series at L.P. Frans Stadium on Monday at 6 p.m.

Jarrett batted third in the order on Saturday, going 2-for-4. He started in left field and is hitting .297 in 36 games with seven home runs and 17 RBIs, making him 13th among South Atlantic League hitters (10 of the top 12 are hitting at least .301).

Jarrett is hitting .300 in his last 10 games with no home runs and two RBIs. His seven home runs tie him for fourth in the league with Brett Boswell of Asheville, Seamus Curran of Delmarva and Ramon Marcelino of Asheville and MJ. Melendez of Lexington (Ky.)

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal, a left-handed relief pitcher for the Braves (26-15), did not pitch on Saturday night in Rome’s 6-2 home victory over Asheville.

On Friday night, Deal pitched the seventh, eighth and ninth innings in relief in a 6-5 home win over the Tourists. He allowed three hits, two runs (both earned) with one walk and four strikeouts in front of a crowd of 3,128.

He threw strikes on 29 of his 38 pitches and faced 13 batters.

Deal has pitched 16 1/3 innings over eight games this season, allowing 13 hits, four runs (all earned) with three walks and 25 strikeouts. His ERA is 2.20.

In his last three outings, Deal has gone nine innings and given up four hits while walking one and striking out 18 with an ERA of 2.00.
