HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey’s has made two starts this season for the Baysox, who were idle on Thursday before starting a series at Akron on Friday night, where Harvey is listed as the probable starter.

He made his second start of the season last Friday, going 2 1/3 innings against Akron in a game the Baysox eventually won 5-3. He gave up two hits, no runs, walked two and struck out one and he threw 55 pitches (30 for strikes) and faced 11 batters before a home crowd of 3,288.

Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.08, has given up four hits, one run (earned) with two walks and two strikeouts.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

JARRETT

Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star who starts in the outfield for the Shorebirds.

On Thursday, he went 3-for-4 and hit a two-run home run with two outs in the ninth inning to get Delmarva past visiting Kannapolis 4-3. He also hit a home run and drove in two runs the night before in a 3-0 home win over the Intimidators.

Jarrett is hitting .338 in 18 games with seven home runs and 14 RBIs and he’s hitting .378 in his last 10 games with five home runs and 10 RBIs. He is tied for sixth in batting average among South Atlantic League hitters.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a relief pitcher for the Braves, who fell 10-8 on Thursday night at West Virginia.

Deal did not pitch Thursday, and his last appearance was April 17 at Asheville.

He has pitched five innings and in two games this season with an ERA of 3.60 and one walk versus six strikeouts.
