ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second straight week, Domonique Jones of Lenoir-Rhyne University has been selected as the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week in the South Atlantic Conferene (SAC).

Her selection was announced Wednesday by the conference office.
She is a senior from Greensboro, Ga., who had a big all-around day last weekend at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational in Charlotte.
Jones won the hammer throw (150 feet, 8 inches) – the fourth consecutive meet she has won the event – and finished third in the discus throw (132-3) and sixth in the shot put (a school-record 39-3).
Jones also holds the program record in the hammer throw (153-3) and was an All-Southeast Region indoor track and field honoree in the weight throw in March.
The SAC track and field championships are scheduled Friday and Saturday at LRU’s Irwin Belk Track and Moretz Sports Complex, Competition begins both days at 9 a.m.
