BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Crest High girls blanked visiting Chase 5-0 on Wednesday night in South Mountain Athletic 2A-3A soccer to stay in second place behind Kings Mountain.
The Chargers improved to 9-1-1 as they chase the Mountaineers (12-0-0 league) for a conference title.
Chase dropped to 2-7-2 in the league and is in eighth place.
SMAC 2A-3A teams play a 16-game conference schedule.
Crest gets a shot at league-leading Kings Mountain on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Kings Mountain, while Chase is at home on Thursday at 6 p.m. to play R-S Central.
